The Rain was my first story I wrote. I made it not too long after I started my Senior year of high school. If I hadn't of written it down, I don't think I would have made it here today to "publish" these stories and have other people look at them. Thanks to my Cousin for pushing me to put my work out there. This quickly became a coping method for me. I have continued to use this to this day, the end of my third semester of college, to order myself.

He's back, trying to explain things to me, trying to win me back and in the meantime, I'm also dealing with a stalker. But Wyatt's helping with that problem. ----- I gasped, but soon enough the rain settled the flames down, making it disappear. I flipped onto my back, making the worst decision of my life. I cried out harder, with unbearable pain shooting through my shoulder. I quickly rolled onto my left side of the body. Making my backwards leg and popped shoulder hurt a tad less. I laid there, crying my eyeballs out. The rain got lighter by the second and stars started to appear in the night sky with the thick clouds drifting away. As the rain officially stopped, I was welcomed to darkness. ----- A/N: Now, I was 13 years old when I created this, and I am highly aware of some errors with spelling and the structure of some chapters. I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book!
