The Envelope
THE ENVELOPE - A Time-Bending Sci-Fi Thriller For years, Agent Herald of the Time Travel Agency (TTA) has known the devastating truth-his wife and son's deaths were caused by a chain reaction set off by Malcolm Little's water-powered engine. The knowledge has tormented him, but TTA's strict code prohibits altering past events. When a breakthrough allows controlled time travel, Herald seizes the opportunity. Under the guise of an official experiment, he orchestrates a secret mission: send an agent back to 2000, deliver an envelope containing Malcolm's death date, and ensure the invention never comes to fruition. Jim Austin, the time traveler assigned to the mission, struggles with the ethical weight of manipulating a man's fate. Meanwhile, Malcolm, an unremarkable programmer, is thrust into a terrifying paradox-forewarned of his demise, yet driven to complete his life's work more than ever. As Herald watches history unfold from the future, he deploys his hidden ace-drones programmed to sabotage the engine. But even the best-laid plans spiral out of control. The more Herald interferes, the more fractured the timeline becomes. When his own family vanishes from existence, he is forced to confront a horrifying reality: in trying to undo the past, he has erased the very people he sought to save. With history collapsing and an alternate present spiraling into chaos, Herald must make an impossible choice-restore the timeline he shattered or embrace a world reshaped by his own hands. A high-stakes blend of science fiction, morality, and suspense, The Envelope is a gripping thriller where every choice rewrites history, and the cost of altering fate is heavier than anyone can imagine
