Shauna Mills is a 15 year old girl who has nothing. Her father became poor after a law suit in which he was sued for custody of Shauna. He won, but it cleaned him out.
Shauna goes to Maplewood High, along with her best friend Jeremy. Everyone thinks they're dating, but they aren't. Shauna gets bullied every day, and when she goes home she cries.
She doesn't eat, or talk, or sleep. Not even Jeremy knows how bad it's gotten. She doesn't tell anyone, and feels alone in her pain.

Bonnie and her seven brothers lives changed forever, after the sudden and tragic death of Bonnies' parents, eight years ago.
