Gabriella was born and raised in Cape Town, the Mother City. She grew up near the ocean either swimming or surfing. That was her home, until her parents decide they should move to Johannesburg because there are 'better opportunities'. She packed up the only life she ever knew to start afresh on almost the opposite side of the country. She left behind her friends, family and the love of her life, Liam. But now she's 18 and has decided to move back home and try to pick up where she left off. But that proves to be a difficult task. Will she be able to reconnect with loved ones? Will Liam still be the sweet, cheeky gentleman that she once loved? Or will she realize that everyone changes eventually, whether it be a good or a bad kind of change?
