Jyn is a Siren-Listener, hunted and sought after for her ability to hear the Sirens' seductive whispers. At the age of 12, she was thrown out of her home and learned to trick and steal to survive. Now she has found a life on a ship with a crew to call family.
Ari is the pirate captain of the "Hell's Secret" and is more than willing to follow his Navigator, Jyn, to the ends of the Earth. He believes his brother, Owen, was murdered by an enemy ship, and seeks justice for the little boy who loved the thieving way of life Ari lived. Little does he know his brother was murdered by someone closer to home than he thinks.
Amaia is a normal civilian, at least she was before her run-in with Jyn a few years ago. At the age of 15, she was attacked in an alley and left for dead. Her encounter left her wounded with a terrible ability to drastically change her body temperature and the temperature of the world around her. Now she's the test subject of a man's illegal science experiment. Amaia wants her freedom just as much, if not more than her revenge on the Siren-Listener who gave her her powers.
Delve into the world of The Harbor as Amaia seeks freedom and revenge, Ari seeks justice for his brother, and Jyn recounts her treacherous past, all while avoiding Siren waters and capture for her skills as a Siren-Listener.

Most of the time it doesn't matter because at one point, they were heart broken. The gods above must've took a pity on us. Our painful feelings leave us, creating a clueless monster with no pain. Even scholars, who've lived for little else but maps, parchment, and pages Soaked with ink, turn to the world for more than knowledge, or satins, silks, or spices. Lured by a tune like a fish to a hook, hungry for a dream. But what if that dream comes at a cost more hefty than coin? What if the price cuts as deep as the song, And soaks your hands redder than the ledger you're desperate to fill. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Since the first siren sighting, people have told tales of their dangers, warning Sailors to be wary of their bewitching songs, lest they lead them early to a dark Watery grave. Only a fool would leave his ears open to a Sirens song, or so many have been told, until Whispers of magic stranger and more enticing came, rumors of miracles and medicine made possible if you were brave enough to face the seas to claim a Sirens scales. Since the rising tide of such tales, the seas became far quieter, as rich choruses of song were sharply silenced, and the ocean itself became even more vicious with fury at its children being hunted. Hunted by Scholars thirsty for forbidden wisdom. Hunted by merchants greedy for more bloodstained wealth. Hunted by soldiers, clad in royal colors, setting out by the thousands to collect for their king. A queen cries out to the ocean for help. For a hero to save her children. And the ocean sends no hero. The ocean sends pirates. The ocean sends those who once fled from the sound of Sirens songs, now singing choruses of their own, brandishing scales of silver and steel, hungering for things greater than gold. They want glory. ( discontinued to be rewritten ) Huntingtown was panicking; no one knew where the sirens were coming from. There was no electricity, and there was no way for the storm Sirens to be sounding, yet they were. The entire Town was awake; everyone had a weapon. They had grabbed guns, knives, swords, and bats if they could be wielded and used for self-defense; Renee aimed her rifle at the trees, looking desperately for an explanation. Why would a siren sound? They only sounded when they were in Danger, so where was the Danger? When the predators revealed themselves, that was where the siren noise was coming from. Renee could feel her heart jump into her throat. Her face went pale; they were here. They had found the Town. Terror and panic soon swept Huntingtown; everyone knew what those monsters could do. After all, they did conquer the planet and impose the "choosing." Huntingtown was created hoping that its isolation in a cold climate would keep the Predators away, but it didn't. A voice came over those speakers. A male voice Gruff and laced with a growl. It was almost as if whoever was speaking was annoyed and angry. "Although I have enjoyed seeing your little Town outmaneuver many hunters. I am afraid this is where your little games end. However, I will give you a chance to keep your freedom. A hunt. You will be red by your best hunter, Renee Madison." Renee felt her blood go cold as she stared wide-eyed at the ship. She was unknowingly dropping her gun at the news. " she will be your leader; she will be my prize. You have a time advantage. Go!" The ship took off, looking for a place to land, all while the news sank into the Town's residence. Renee had known she had fucked up when she fired at one of those predators and hit him. She had proven herself worthy of the hunt. Now she has to face the consequences, not only her but her entire Town had to. Renee had to win this hunt; the fate of her Town depended on it.Complete

Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat. Jason watched her the way she'd watch a barracuda. "I know you're following me." "Following you?" What. The. Hell. She gave a mighty kick and tossed her coat onto the dock. Jason just stood there.
