The Black Plague has wiped out more than 1/3 of Europe's population. Those affected by the plague usually didn't survive more than three days, but the few lucky ones who looked death in the face and lived are marked by a scar, a sign of what they endured. Called 'mercato' or 'marked,' these people shun them for what they represent and what they have spent so long trying to forget. Raven is a 16 year-old mercato who was orphaned by the plague. Lonely and desperate for money, Raven spends everyday hiding her own scar and waiting until she saves up enough to leave the city of Craigshire forever. But even three years after The Black Plague left Europe, Raven is still stuck. However when she is contacted by a group known as The Raven Society, and things in Craigshire begin to go amiss, Raven realizes that being mercato may not be so bad after all... Set in the fanatical world of medieval Italy, The Raven Society is a book that will keep you constantly on the edge of your seat and also will leave you haunted and wanting more even after you turn the last page.

In a world ravaged by a virus that twists humanity into beasts, survival is no longer just about endurance-it's about transformation. Some become hybrids, gifted with animal strength and instinct. Others descend into madness, monstrous and rabid. Raven Scarlett was just a girl when the virus shattered her family and her town. Now, years later, she's caught between two worlds: the humans who fear her and the hybrids who embrace her. Betrayed, bitten, and reborn, Raven must uncover the truth behind the Wolfsbane virus-and decide whether her evolution is a curse or a calling. Love, loyalty, and legacy collide in this post-apocalyptic tale of survival, identity, and the wild within.
