Crimson. A color often associated by those in the kingdom of Vrodoria with the evil Red Dragons that commonly plague the land.
Red Dragons are the cruelest of the Chromatic Dragons, enjoying only the pain of others. They hoard anything others consider precious, burn villages for fun, and kill those who have done them no wrong. Sighting a flash of crimson in the skies is the greatest dread that could possibly afflict the people of Vrodoria, for it could only mean that one of the dreaded winged destroyers is upon them.
But not all Reds are the same. Meet Deszeldaryn Shimmerwing, otherwise known as Ryn, a young Red dragoness who's not at all like her kin. She would much prefer to talk with the humans than kill them, and wishes to travel the world in grand adventures. But she has learned from a young age that humans are terrified of her, despite her attempts to befriend them. She doesn't understand: if she's not like the other Reds, what cause is there to fear her? Just because she was hatched with crimson scales makes her evil?
Determined to change the humans' views of her kind, Ryn sets out on a quest to prove that crimson scales don't set one's fate. She will travel farther than she ever imagined and face greater dangers than she believed possible. Hunted by the humans and even her own kind, not sure where to start, and faced with impossible odds, Ryn is up against a far greater power than she knows.

Two twin sisters drifted apart because of misunderstandings and screaming by there on family no less. Zan Cui the one with a dragon fate was seen as bad luck because she is a girl. So she was openly despised and raised to be a tool for her elder brother. Knowing this and also seeing her sister being loved and pampered by her family. She always felt bitter, but she never hated her sister for it. But when her sister moved into the royal palace and later married she never contacted her again. She felt betrayed and was very angry with her. But what she did not know was that her sister made a deal with the second prince that she would move into the palace to live with him and marry him when she came of age he would then send her sister an awakening pill. But what her sister did not know then was that the awakening pill would never reach her sister and that her husband would never allow her to see her sister again. Until one day when her husband used her sister and uncle as scapegoats. Seeing her beloved uncle being killed and her sister being next. She ran over and blocked the blow for her sister. Seeing this Zan Cui picked her up and ran away with her into the forest behind the royal palace. But they were never able to escape, so Zan Cui, picked up a treasure that she found.
