As America Singer continues her days in the Selection, a contest of love, trust and pain, she has encountered a lot of twists and turns that made her feel paranoid in every decision. Mysterious rebel attacks, a suspicious girl with an exceptional espionage skills, the betrayal of a loved one, new friends that were constantly in danger, the choice of surrendering love and trust, came in America's way while she figured out a way to do everything she needed to do in a limited amount of time.
Her relationship with Maxon turned out to be better lately, but then suddenly everything was turned around as if the whole universe is upside down. Aspen claimed America in every way he could, without getting caught, but one day, Maxon found out the truth and it all went from bad to worse. The rebels threatened her family and her friends, the King hated her in every way, an impulsive girl wanted to rip her apart to pieces and so and so and so...
But how could she do everything all at once: declare peace with the rebels and the France's lust for war; save her parents and Marlee; choose between Maxon and Aspen; get the trust of the King; Find out who's the spy in the palace; and, keep things under control; when the whole Illéa have distrusted her? How could she prove that she could make it happen, when no one supported her, but her family and almost no one else?

In this heart- whelming, ear- splitting- screams worthy, misfortuned lucks, heartbreaking scenes, not-so-typical scenarios and flipped-table attacks of a trilogy’s ending, she revealed that none of the things she hoped to happen might never play in the history and even the best person you could possibly think of a friend, might be the one to bring you down.
