Connor Sorain is going to school like an ordinary 17 year old boy. A basketball star. Everything is normal and as it should be. Or at least, it seems that way. Unbeknownst to Connor, a dream he had was more realistic than he initially thought. He had previously been involved in an event of epic proportions. He had previously been running through a sea of flames and chaos. But, where did all the carnage go to? To where did the unspeakable terror vanish? And more so... why doesn't Connor remember putting his life on the line for the sake of the world? Whether Connor can remember the peril they are all in, whether he can remember his responsibility, his Gift, may decide the fate of the world. He doesn't have much time though. For the shadows of the past, are moving to affect the future

A young woman wakes up in the hospital, with no memories other than the fact she had just been horribly injured in a fight, and she has superpowers. It's hard to be surprised by such news when it is the only memory you possess. Superpowers are just a fact of life at that point. The superpowers news turned out to be quite original for the rest of the world, which was entirely unaware someone like her existed at all. There is, however, an underground world of others like her, a criminal empire working toward something she had been trying to stop. But with no knowledge of what the villainous plan was, who these criminals were, or how to properly use her powers, things seem grim. She knows she is the only one who can stop them, and the only backup she has is a man who claims to have been her friend from before the accident. Will she be able to train her powers up, and stop the devious master plan before it's too late?
