Most girls get a shiny new car but Aria gets a pair of tattered pointe shoes that obviously been worked in that were her mothers. Her father and stepmother send her away to Prima School of Dance in South Dakota. She has to leave her friends, sandy beaches, and summer loves because first day of summer vacation she is gone.
