"I knew you could never stay away." a deep voice said. I could hear the smirk growing. I realized I was still resting on the deep voice's chest. I looked up and saw piercing green eyes and a head of curls. Out of all people... Harry Styles. One of my brothers best friend. He was tall, lean, muscular and I'm lying if I said I wasn't attracted to him. There was only one problem. He was obnoxious as hell, crude, impatient, perverted..okay, that's more than one. The point is I despise him but want him. I quickly shove myself off of him hoping he would stumble back but he stayed still and I ended up bumping into the fridge. He chuckled. I wanted to disappear. Harry, my brother, and 3 other guys were the most popular guys in school. They were on the lacrosse team, football and soccer and they were all pretty much amazing which meant they were basically the kings of school. They had girls falling to their feet. My brother always had party's with tons of sluts and I was always covering for some hoe that wanted my brother's well.. you know what. "Oh please, you're not worth my time." I shot back even that was the worst comeback. I mentally face-palmed myself for saying that. A smirk grew across his face causing a dimple to poke out. I was torn between slapping it off or poking it adorably just to make sure he was real. He stepped closer, and that ladies and gentlemen is how you make a burger. Except Harry and the fridge were the buns and I was the patty. He put his hand up and I flinched. Harry wasn't the nicest person when it came to girls... See, that's me. I practically hug him, then want to slap him and now I terrified he'll slap me. I can't decide how I feel about this kid. Luckily, he only rested it next to my head so he could support himself while he leaned it. " No, but I could give you a good time" he said smirking.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
