Dan just finished school and his parents sent him to summer with a relative in a town up north he's never heard of. Not wanting to waste the entire summer in an unfamiliar home with people he doesn't know, he gets a job, it just so happens to be the same place that Phil works- an ice cream shop. After three years of university Phil is tired of coming back home to his coddling mother and disapproving father over summer break. Phil is ready to live on his own, that is until he meets Dan.

The whole reason he was put into public school was his parents were moving away to live with his grandfather who was sick. So, he was to live with his dad's friend who also had a son his age. Phil was also an outcast, but he got along alright in school. Having to live with Phil and Phil's dad who was gone half the time, Dan and Phil get to know each other quite well. They soon bond over many things and Dan realizes he has feelings for Phil. But will Phil feel the same way? Will it work out?
