If you had a second chance at love, would you take it?

In 1714 two boys met at a ball.
In 1716 the two boys told each other I love you.
In 1717 they started to live together.
In 1718 they were happy.
In 1759 one of them died.

In 2017 the other boy is still living.

Immortality isn't all it's cracked up to be when you can't spend your life with the person you love the most. It's boring and painful and far too long. After years and years of trying to avoid his lost love Arlo meets a boy in a cafe who has the same bright smile and brown hair as his lover from 1714.

Vitium Cavum. Or, the better known 'Hollow Disease'. Five years ago, in an alternate universe, scientists were on the verge of creating the immortality drug. Only, somehow, it escaped in the early stages of development, when everyone was working to rid of all the negative side effects. Those 'side effects' practically rip a person's soul away from them. Hence the name 'Hollow' Disease, because this virus makes whoever is affected an empty shell with no soul. Now, only a handful of people around the world are currently unaffected by this disease. Some of them had their families torn apart, some lost their friends, and some lost the person they were in love with. And that's where our story begins; in the year 2019, five years after Hollow Disease nearly destroyed the entire world. [Warnings: death, blood, violence, attempted suicide, suicidal thoughts, mentions of stillbirth, and other mature themes]
