Before the gambling, Kim Vinnitae's family was one of the most wealthy families in South Korea. Her Father owned one of the biggest companies in the world and her life was amazing. Eventually her father thought money could buy happiness and that developed into much worse thing. All she wanted was for her family to go back to the way it was.

Vinnitae's mother became an Alcoholic and her father was in jail from all his debt. She tried to help her mother the best she could but eventually her mother was driven over the edge into drugs, dangerous situations and eventually suicide. Her older brother Kim Namjoon moved out 3 years before this and didn't know what happened. She planned on not telling him until she has no choice.
