Calelia Dewspinner lives a simple live on the streets of Merrowhaven, a city that after a rebellion is now abandoned by the crown. One fateful day she finds herself tied to a stranger with whom she is dragged into a word of adventure, rebellion and lies. 
Meanwhile a trial is arranged to determine the new regent between the two children of the former King.
