Bess's life never went right. Her mother always called Bess her sad little accident. Her boyfriends demeaned her, killed her pets, and threatened violence on her. And becoming an Advertising Designer seemed always a little out of reach. So she thought that at least a marriage of convenience would work out.

She devised a three step program for success. Step One: Elope with her best friend from childhood, William Bryant. Step Two: Reap all the legal benefits of marriage and buy the house that William wants. Step Three: Never deal with love again.

But this strategy failed. After they get married, William slowly falls in love with her. When he confesses he fell in love with her because of her bed head and pajamas, it makes even less sense. Now Bess has to either face her unpleasant past with love or risk losing her best friend.

No Strings is a 80,000-word humorous Woman's Fiction.

Posting because this is probably the whitest complete book I have and while I like it, I don't want to officially publish it. It does deal with women, mental health (lightly), abusive relationships, and makes serious fun of Romance novels, Lifetime and Hallmark Channel as being unhealthy. The diversity is mostly on women. And of course, she is not flawless, just like anybody else. And the man she is stalking is just an average guy.. But we don't want to spoil you the whole story. This is a love story has passion and sex in it, as well as fights and misunderstandings. And the main question remains: will Lola succeed in getting him back, or her attempts will only backfire?
