"It's funny, Emery. You're parents are the King and Queen of my species, yet. You're nothing but a Human." Florian spoke nothing but the truth. I was just a human. A human living with a pack of wolves. "You know my mom is also human right?" I shot back, instantly regretting it. He closed in on me and I gasped at the heat his body gave off. "But your siblings aren't." He said with a wicked smile. "My mate has some fire to her. I like it." He spoke so softly I almost didn't hear him. Almost. --------- When Emery turned 11 all her siblings have shifted into beautiful wolves, even her twin brother, Edison, but Emery didn't. And she never would. She's human, just like their mother. Florian was ruthless and cold hearted. He watched his family get murdered and torn apart by Rouges when he was only 7 years old. This caused an early shift for him and has made the most feared and sought after warrior in North America. When these two meet, Emery can't stand him and Florian loves to bother her. --------- Book One: The Chosen series, Emery and Florian --------- Werewolf: Some Mature scenes and violence --------- Rated: R for mature content ---------

"What's your name?" he asked. I hesitated. "Dawn." He repeated it under his breath once, then again, slower, as if he was tasting it. "Dawn." The sound of it hit something in me that shouldn't have existed. But then his gaze hardened again. "You were with her," he said quietly, anger laced in his face as he brought up Mandy. "How do you know her?" "I don't," he said tightly. "But I know what her pack did," His words confused me, "she's a killer. I've been tracking her for weeks." My blood ran cold. "You're lying." "I wish I was," he murmured, stepping closer again. "She's dangerous, Dawn." "She's my friend." He flinched like I'd struck him. "She's the reason people are after you." "That doesn't make sense-" "She's the one they were following. But they found you too, and they changed their target. I don't know why." His eyes flicked over my face, his tone shifting. "Unless... unless they know what you are." I took a sharp step back, panic clawing at my throat. "You don't know anything about me." "No," he said quietly. "But I want to." The way he said it made my pulse stutter. His voice was aching. And then, he grew softer, "When I found you, I thought you were just a human. I tried to tell myself you were. But my wolf..." He stopped, dragging in a rough breath. "He knows you. He recognized you before I even saw your face." "What are you even saying," I shook my head, heart racing. "You're insane." "Dawn-" "You don't know me," I said again. "You are my mate." #1 in love 12/5/2018 #1 in human 12/28/2018 #1 in comedy 1/17/2019 #1 in young adult 4/8/2019 #1 in cold 4/16/2019
