Peridot, a freckled, cranky, sandy haired commander is a highly respected member of her battalion.  After a mission failure, in which she looses one of her legs, Peridot is downgraded from commanding, to.... cadet training.  A spunky, rebellious new arrival named Lapis. Peridot thinks this will be an easy fare, but she is way more over her head then she could ever realize.
