Writer Games: Summit

30 years prior, the Himalayan government was cruel and abusive, performing public whippings and executions for the slightest mistake. Before, the Himalayan citizens had lived peacefully, until the government's thirst for power became too great. They forced the people to dwell in one, single, massive kingdom, where they could “keep a proper eye on them”. The government became a sort of Royalty, and the people became lowly peasants. So they rebelled. The revolution was led by Aadesh Balveer, a powerful young man who despised the government. But, unfortunately, most of the citizens were too afraid of the government to go against them. So Balveer and his 12 followers failed miserably. In punishment for their actions, and disregarding that most of the people refused to rebel, the government brought up the Hunger Games, which was inspired by Panem, the original creators of the Games. The government split the kingdom into twelve separate villages, each with their own specialty. Two tributes from each Village would be Reaped and thrown into an arena where they would fight to the death.
