First Book To The Chronicles of The Lost Worlds

I had a sister named Neptune.

I had a brother named Mars.

She loved space.

He hated the universe outside his.

Our parents always loved the planets, that's why we got our names. She loved them for it.

Our parents started a mission to send us into space. He hated them for it.

Our parents sent her to space as an experiment.

He stayed behind on Earth.

They lost her.

I couldn't come back.

I've been looking for her for three years.

I haven't seen him for three years.

I found her.

Do your genes, your parents, teachers, or your master determine who you will be in life? Can they set your value in the universe? 650 years ago the known species of the universe came together and signed the Alliance, a document that would help each race find its place in the universe. It granted freedom to some and the scant protection of slavery to others. Into this society a handful of children are born who will change it forever, if they can survive to adulthood. Here is the origin story of two of those children. Hathu is born to a man determined to make the universe bow to him and his species. Since he learned to talk, Hathu has been a disappointment to his father. He doesn't want to become a warrior, and he refuses to assert his dominance. When he accidentally overhears his father plotting against the Ir'Klahn empire, can Hathu stop him? Mik is born with no rights, destined to become a lifelong slave. His mother tries to protect him from this fate by running away and finding a home for them on a trading ship that travels from world to world. They are safe for now, but how long can they hide from the best trackers in the universe? This is the first book in the My Kingdom Come series. Updates every Tuesday. :) My 2021 Nanowrimo so please excuse the unedited condition of the story. Be warned: there is violence, rape, murder, abuse, self harm and suicidal thoughts in this story. I do not post trigger warnings.

❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. I write characters from many different backgrounds, with many different experiences. If you share those traits and find that I have misrepresented anything, please let me know! From Darkness Comes - Book 2 in The Dissonance Series

40 parts Ongoing

She survived the end. But it's only the beginning. Ever thought escaping Earth meant survival. Instead, it meant sacrifice. She lost her parents, her sister, and the two boys she loves-left behind to an uncertain fate. Now, on a distant planet she never asked to call home, Ever reunites with the brother she thought was dead. But this new world is not the refuge it promised to be. Her sister's haunting last words echo in her mind: "Your friends may be your foes, and your foes may be your only chance for survival." With her memories fractured by reimaging, Ever struggles to tell truth from illusion, ally from enemy-even within herself. As a genetically modified human, she carries a dangerous secret: she may be the only woman capable of creating life. To Environettix, the ruthless corporation pulling the strings, that makes her their most valuable-and most vulnerable-target. And she isn't the only one. The other Mods brought from Earth are caught in the same web of lies, their very existence exploited for an agenda darker than they ever imagined. But the planet itself holds secrets of its own. And Ever is beginning to realize a chilling truth: they don't belong here. And when something doesn't belong, it's only a matter of time before it's erased. *This is Book 2 in The Dissonance Series
