Sixteen year-old Kaz has to move across the country from his Mom's place to his Grandparents due to financial problems. Leaving behind his longtime friends and When he moves in to his Grandparents house, he's automatically obligated to adhere to the house rules and is groomed to carry on the family tradition being that they originated from Central Africa. Kaz vehemently refuses to do so as he constantly butt heads with his grandmother, the dominant matriarch of the house, over his freedom to find himself in this new town.
