Odkąd Ryan pocałował Andrew'a zmienił wyznanie z McDonalda na KFC. Jake od zawsze wolał McDonalda odkąd zagrał geja w filmie ''Tajemnica Brokeback Mountain'' gdzie wygrał casting z takimi osobami jak Matt Damon i Ben Affleck. Ich drogi skrzyżowały się na planie filmowym ''Life '' gdzie obydwoje grali (w simsy). Potem zaczęli występować w spotach reklamujących ten film. Na jedynym z nich zaszło jednak do czegoś więcej niż przyjaźń (ze strony Ryana oczywiście). Reynolds zaczął pisać do Gyllenhaal'a (czyt. Ilenhol lub Jelenhule). Jakob powoli zaczyna wyczuwać co planuje Ryan, a on przecież nie jest gejem!
