Anya is just a normal orphan, no past and hopeful of a new future. When offered a job at a circus, she takes it. She doesn't want to leave behind a young boy she regards as her younger brother, but she wants to give them both a better life, which will come from any money she gets. When she leaves, she is claimed as a half-blood and rushes to return to her brother to secure his safety. This adventure has many twists and turns and Anya will discover what matters to her the most.
