Pollyanne Hester is the eldest daughter and second eldest child in a prominent southern family in Alabama, and she's given off the impression of being comfortable with her quaint life for quite some time. Who wouldn't be? She has money, a dog, a nice job, and a good amount of support from her family. However, she hides a secret which has changed her life drastically in the past ten years. While her family is on vacation in Florida, Pollyanne goes through a routine precaution that soon turns out to be more trouble than she expected.
Meanwhile, Sam and Dean Winchester have caught word of a trail of bizarre incidents in Alabama involving horrific circumstances and pursue it as a typical case. The trail of incidents coincidentally leads the brothers to an old friend of Sam's, making for an awkward encounter and a hasty investigation.
Carrying out what seemed to be routine actions, the lives of both the Winchester brothers and Pollyanne Hester are quickly complicated in the blink of an eye.
