Five years ago a 'epidemic' swept the world and Alexandria "Alex" Turner had her hands full trying to raise her daughter, Hazel, in this new world.  

Now, she joins a group for 'safety in numbers.' But the one thing she doesn't expect is to run into the person she had left, just days before the apocalypse started, Hazel's father.
