When one has their heart broken one too many times, then they become prone to letting go the next person they fall for a little easier. Possibly they no longer feel or maybe they fear from it happening again. Emotionally numb or snake bitten, their hearts no longer beat like they used to. They become tainted.

I once loved this boy, the feelings were intoxicating. It took over. I was being tortured by this unrequited love I felt for almost two years. This is my journey of figuring out how to live with it. Completed✓ 'The price for love is pain,' how ironic of life isn't it. Loneliness hurts and so does loving. Loving shatters you heart and leaves you bleeding. So here's a thing with broken hearts, they never fit quiet like they did before. Like they say, you can glue a plate together but it will never look the same again. But what do you do when you've been broken and shattered not just your heart but your soul too. Where do you go from there. We never said what we truly felt, maybe because we were afraid to give it meaning. But fate played its cruel trick. We ended up living in the same boarding house, different rooms, the same secret. We both knew it was wrong, yet we crossed the line anyway. He was my first, my first love, my first sin, my first heartbreak. I thought I could handle it, but loving him was slowly destroying me.
