Frisk has freed the monsters of the Underground. Finally, monster kind is allowed to return to the surface. It's been 3 years since then. Yet the monsters still struggle to find their place within the world. Most accept the monsters, but there are those who wish nothing more than the complete annihilation of monster kind. Merely sealing them away is not enough. As ambassador for the monsters, it is Frisk's responsibility to fight for everyone's right to live on the surface. But at the same time, an internal battle rages on within her. Not only that, her relationship with Sans is strained. Trust is not so easily regained after the slaughter of one's beloved, despite it all being erased. Or was it really? What if there was an anomaly in the Underground? No, not Frisk. Not Chara either. Someone else entirely. How could a few measly children stand to this supposedly immortal foe and save the Underground from destruction? Is it even possible to do so? Only one way to tell... ~o0o~ Disclaimers before you start! •There is NO fanon ships. That means no Soriel, Papyton, etc. The only ships are Torgore (in the past) and Alphyne. •This is NOT an x reader. I dislike those types of stories. The reader will have no part in this, and they will not be shipped with anyone. •This exists outside of canon to an extreme. For example, Frisk is the second human and not the eighth. •There will be OCs, but only for a few humans and they still technically exist in normal Undertale. •There is a sequel. I'm planning on rewriting it after this one, as it is much more random and definitely needs it. Clanky, plot holes/retconning, etc. It's more of an OC thing, to explore them and their issues, than an Undertale thing, but it has its similarities. •There will be some explicitives. It won't be unnecessary or excessive, only when it fits the situation and character. I will not be using any slurs, as that's just plain disrespectful, even if some of them apply to me. Credits: Undertale, obviously, created by Toby Fox and Temmie Chang. "The Time Before" by ANinnyMouse42 is the backstory for Sans in this AU with some adjustments (mainly since that was very close to my original idea before I read it and I don't want people to think I copied their masterpiece or smth, if you haven't read it please do so, it's really good).
