It's been five years since the plague struck. Leah knows there are other survivors, but she's avoiding them. She is doing just fine on her own. Surviving after everyone she knew died has made her physically strong and honed her intelligence, but she is emotionally devastated. There is nothing to fear if you don't make yourself emotionally vulnerable. James has spent the last five years helping to build up a colony of survivors. He believes in the small town they have populated and its mission to save humanity from extinction. He and his small team of men find scattered people and bring them in. Over the last two centuries, women have fought for and won more and more rights, gaining equality with men. Society, law, and technology bolsters and enforces these rights, but now they are gone. Women's equality with men is over. There are just too few of them. They aren't lesser but greater, more important, more valuable than men. Men are expendable. Men can stay outside alone if they like, but all women must be brought inside the safety of the Colony and properly taken care of. James has been searching the area Leah lives in. Her time of solitude is up. Leah sparks something in James he's never felt before. He's not letting this one get away, certainly not twice. Warning: Contains sex, some violence, occasional foul language, and adult issues. Genre: Science Fiction, Romance, Post-apocalyptic, Dark romance Length: 84,468 words This book has been published on Amazon. "Again, do you think that's... wise? The others should be able to control themselves, but Fallon..." Gideon let the words hang in the air. Fallon wasn't the most stable in the best of times and sometimes, he questioned his decision to bring him into their home. "I'll watch out for him." Sebastian stood. "Damn me, why did I have to save her." "Because you were bored." ********************************** Most children are raised to have a sense of wonder. A feeling of awe at the unexplainable, delight at the thought of hidden worlds and fantastical creatures. Eve was not that child. She was happy in her logical life and didn't need the unicorns and wizards. To her, magic simply didn't exist. Until the night it tried to kill her. After she is saved by men of fiction, Eve soon discovers that binding an eight-hundred year old vampire to herself is the least of her worries. An unexpected reunion with her mother exposes secrets and she quickly learns that what she didn't believe in could be the death of her. ******** Warning******** THIS IS A REVERSE-HAREM NOVEL. THERE WILL BE SEXY TIME INVOLVED. It's also 107K words but only 16 chapters long. This means hella long chapters. Sorry about that, it's just the way the story wanted to be written. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Please comment and I will do my best to reply :) If there are questions that might lead to spoilers, I'll try to PM or DM the answers.

"So let me get this right," Emily paused, gathering her thoughts. Everything Caleb had just said was CRAZY, but it had to be true. Why would he lie about this? "There's a genius out there who somehow created a computer virus which he can load onto someone's devise and it will allow him to control the world?" "Not exactly," Caleb said, concentrating. "Look, he has the virus and loads it up on some person's computer. Then he can use its information and-if I'm understanding what I've read so far-he will be able to give the computer commands. For example, he could tell the computer to lock everyone else out, while he can still receive the information from it." "So this guy was put in prison because he was hacking into nuclear launch devices. And now he's free in Chicago. Where-according to you-there is a building which houses the last remaining remnant of the Smallpox?" Emily clarified. "The building itself doesn't host it. The computers could potentially command a lab here in the U.S. to release it somewhere in the world. I know exactly what he's doing, Emily," Caleb finished. Emily didn't ask how he knew. She just knew that if that disease was released again...there wouldn't be anyone left.
