Blue Zircon wakes up on death row.
After a chance machine malfunction allows her to reform, Zircon finds herself in the bowels of a Harvester, neck deep in an adventure she doesn't want and with a death sentence on her head. Cowardice is tempting. But justice is stronger, and Zircon may be the only one who can solve the mystery of Pink Diamond and Rose Quartz once and for all.

Meanwhile, a thousand years had soon passed after "the incident" had occured. A trusty and loyal servant of the White Diamond court, breaks free from the clutches of her owner. Pearl, having nowhere to ask help from, finds herself in Homeworld's intricate society as a renegade. With the help of her rebellion group, Tourmaline, Howlite and Zircon, they will find out who was behind "the incident" and stop an uprising threat that would soon destroy all life on Homeworld itself. Steven, Homeworld, Danger... Diamonds... Those words don't sound too comforting together, right? Who said this was a comforting story? For Steven and the gems, things finally don't go right. When Steven is separated from Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl during the attempt to retrieve his father from the zoo, he is found, and quickly identified as a rose quartz gem... and not just any, but the rebellion leader's own son. Blue and Yellow Diamond create a master plan to finally eliminate the Crystal Gems, and Steven is the key to doing so. All they have to do is play a game of emotions, and things will soon fall into their hands, due to a very unlikely snitch. Will Steven be able to resist the Diamonds and escape, or will Steven's Universe crumple because of himself? Yellow Pearl hates her life, but she has accepted it. Accepted that it is her fate to be a slave to her Diamond's will for the rest of her days.
