A couple chapters of a book I'm working on, tell me if it's good or not.
Virgil is a 15 year old that decides to run away from home for the summer and head to Boston on a shoestring budget. Best to go in blind.

The Borrower and the Fairy Prince
*Completed* Virgil has never had it easy, not since he was kicked out of his home by his own father. He's struggled to survive, and has fought for food. He sees what should have been an easy meal, some berries on a tree hanging over the river. It should have been easy to get it, of course the stupid branch had to break and he was sent plummeting into the river. Roman loves to sneak away from his colony and his fae duties to head to the river, he's always wondered what is on the other side of it. Of course, he and everyone else in his colony is banned from crossing it. One day though, a stranger with no wings and a tail washes up on the river bank. When he takes him back to the colony, he's put in charge of taking care of him. Thomas has inherited his home from family, it's in the middle of nowhere in a forest. It was nice, and not too far from his home is a nice river he can explore. Of course it can't be so simple though, since Thomas is in debt and could very well lose the home. Not wanting to lose a home that had been in his family for so long, he struggles to find some way to pay it off. Deceit is unpopular in highschool, as others find him ugly with his snake-like burn, he is depressed and self harms, he has a crush on one of the most popular kids, Logan, they meet in a class and try to become friends, but Logan's friends, Patton, Roman, Virgil, try to push them further apart. Edit- 06/02/21 this was one of the first things I tried to properly write, it isn't that great but it does show how much I've improved and I find that cool now that I've gotten over most of my embarrassment about it. Logan's fine. Really. He has no problem (has resigned himself) with the fact that his best friends (whom he also has a terrible crush on) are dating. The fact that their other two friends are *also* dating absolutely doesn't pose any additional problem. Neither does Logan being the sole only child of their group. Really, he's okay. But then comes Virgil, a teenager (barely adult, really) from the north, fearful, promised in marriage and destined to give up everything to join them. The good news is, the "giving it all up" part isn't actually that bad. The bad one, well... Virgil's life has been turned upside down, for the better. I ask her "No" she says to me "Then no I don't like cuddling with you" I say to her picking up my hoodie and pants she wasn't wearing before throwing her over my shoulder. "Blue eyes put me down now" she says punching my back "Not happening" I say walking quietly down the hall to not wake anyone. "At least hold me where you can't see my underwear" she says to me "Thanks for the idea" I say to her looking quickly at the blue lacy underwear that matches my shirt on her "I like the blue matches my shirt" "Shut up" she grumbles ---------- "Fine your ass looks really fuck-able in these tight sweats" she taps my ass laughing ---------- "Let me down" she says to me "If you insist" I say to her slapping her ass once lightly before placing her on her feet ---------- Meet Daniel Matthews the nerd who is bullied, when he was younger his dad was never good to him, Daniel's dad does not want him happy. Daniel's neighbor Adrianna never talk but one day she needs a place to get away from her dad and they become friends, but only her friends know and he is still bullied. Meet Adrianna Robertson the bad girl is what people call her, when she was younger her mom left her the day she was born with her controlling father. Adrianna parties and gets drunk and smokes all the time. One day she just can't stand staying with her dad for any longer and goes to her neighbor Daniel's house till her friend picks her up. She went back completely wasted and needed a place to stay for the night since her dad was on her ass about getting drunk so she stays with him. I hope you like the book, there is going to a mild amount of swearing and lots of drinking and smoking. Everything is made up beside the state they live in. Road Trips Can Lead to Awesome Things
Road trips. Family fun. It was perfect, what could go wrong-? Well, you see Logan was Patton's new boyfriend, who Patton's son, Virgil, didn't really know. So, in order to get them to get along Patton organizes a road trip, which his son is absolutely against because there's no escape from awkward situations and he was an angsty and anxious teenage boy. Oh, yeah another thing: Virgil and Patton both have bladder problems.
