A couple chapters of a book I'm working on, tell me if it's good or not.
Virgil is a 15 year old that decides to run away from home for the summer and head to Boston on a shoestring budget. Best to go in blind.

Hold On (Book 1 of It's Not Over)
[Completed] Sanders Sides human au fanfic. Twin brothers Virgil and Patton Novas have moved around a lot thanks to their father's job. From their father's home country, and their birth place, of Cabo Verde to their mother's country of birth, Ireland. From Ireland to Massachusetts. From Massachusetts to Arizona. After spending several years in a stable environment they're moving again, this time not only are they leaving behind friends but also their mother's grave. Virgil has to convince his twin brother and their dad that, despite his terrible migraines and sometimes crippling anxiety, he won't go down the same road as his mother. On top of having an overprotective family he has to navigate being the new kid in his senior year of high school, making friends, falling in love, and learning how to save a life. How hard can the next nine months be? All he has to do is hold on and convince his new best friend to do the same. I do not own the characters Virgil, Patton, Roman, Remus, Deceit, Remy, or Emile Picani. They belong to the awesome, amazingly talented cinnamon roll that is Thomas Sanders. I also don't like 99% of the music and song lyrics that will make an appearance in this book. I am, however, the proud owner of the hyperactive muse (by the name of Orion who makes an appearance in here) that spawned this story into existence when he was supposed to be helping me work on my other two fan fictions and three original works. And I'm also the owner of the many side and minor background characters that may or may not get names.Concluida

Deceit is unpopular in highschool, as others find him ugly with his snake-like burn, he is depressed and self harms, he has a crush on one of the most popular kids, Logan, they meet in a class and try to become friends, but Logan's friends, Patton, Roman, Virgil, try to push them further apart. Edit- 06/02/21 this was one of the first things I tried to properly write, it isn't that great but it does show how much I've improved and I find that cool now that I've gotten over most of my embarrassment about it. (Also I'm not editing anything this thing is beyond saving anyway-)Concluida

Logan's fine. Really. He has no problem (has resigned himself) with the fact that his best friends (whom he also has a terrible crush on) are dating. The fact that their other two friends are *also* dating absolutely doesn't pose any additional problem. Neither does Logan being the sole only child of their group. Really, he's okay. But then comes Virgil, a teenager (barely adult, really) from the north, fearful, promised in marriage and destined to give up everything to join them. The good news is, the "giving it all up" part isn't actually that bad. The bad one, well... Virgil's life has been turned upside down, for the better. Trigger Warnings: Self harm, Suicide, Anorexia, Panic/Anxiety attacks (Will add more if more come up. I will also put warnings at all the chapters.) Thankfully, his highschool friend comes over for a surprise visit over for Christmas just in time to save his life. After that, Patton refuses to leave Virgil's side and promises to help him. Road Trips Can Lead to Awesome Things
Road trips. Family fun. It was perfect, what could go wrong-? Well, you see Logan was Patton's new boyfriend, who Patton's son, Virgil, didn't really know. So, in order to get them to get along Patton organizes a road trip, which his son is absolutely against because there's no escape from awkward situations and he was an angsty and anxious teenage boy. Oh, yeah another thing: Virgil and Patton both have bladder problems. SO, BASICALLY: Omo centric road trip story with plot. ///////I suck at descriptions lol-also in case you couldn't tell this will be an omo fic. A 15 year old teenager walks into a dark alley in order to figure out how to improve his life and living conditions with his parents. What happens is a long and complicated journey meeting some new faces and new opponents. Will he make it out alive... ish? Maybe?
