This is the exciting follow up to the book FEAR.
Set in the more modern state of Kansas there is nothing that Jarvis fears more than to hear the word "Guilty" when it comes to his clients.
After the fall of the monastery in Southeast Washington State, he is ready to settle into a more normal life, but is he going to get that chance when his first major case lands his client in the infirmary. He makes himself a deal that he is going to get to the bottom of this no matter what it takes. He wants to know what is happening, but he does not want to hurt the people that are in his life outside of the courtroom, people like Molly who need his love because she has lost all of her family.
At the same time there is a desire to find out what happened to another young man who happened to be an invited guest to the monastery. Will we find out what happened to him? Will we find out what is going on with the new prisoner in Leavenworth?
