Dorian's life was taking a turn for the better. After many, many turns for the worse. In the past year she had lost both of her parents and her younger brother in a tragic car accident, and being in the city became too much for her. In their last will and testament, Abigail and Jakob Adair had left Dorian, among other things, their cottage far in the countryside. And so she decided to move there, away from all the pain that lay behind her, to live in the woods far removed from civilization.
But upon living there but a few days, Dorian discovers that this family heirloom of a cabin holds more secrets than she was prepared to admit. Among them how leprechauns steal all the bread she makes, faeries try to claim her herbs, and a merman keeps washing ashore, promising wishes and the treasures of old.

"Why won't you let me go? I am not yours to keep, and never will be." Those words coming from her pouty lips stung his chest, but it did not waver in his determination. He pulled her wrist, causing her to fall in his embrace and he whispered in her ear softly. "No matter what you are or who you are, I will not let you leave my sight, not even for one second! Your tricks might work with other people, but not me." The tension between them got ten times worse when he felt her shiver underneath his body. Spending most of his life as a woodcutter to make ends meet for his family, Christopher did not expect to be knocking down a faery house in his lifetime since they were supposed to be a myth. The faery isn't too happy about her house being gone, now that her house is in pieces, Christopher has to give her a home until he can find her a new one, where no one will cut it down like he did.
