The other end of the string is tied to the ring finger of their soulmate. Every time the two people are close, their soul strings will tense up and start dragging them towards each other. Also a disclaimer: I got a little carried away sometimes and some of the stuff isn't that like kiribaku but there's moments there from the actual anime so you can skip if you want but I'd appreciate if you'd read it 😊
