The other end of the string is tied to the ring finger of their soulmate. Every time the two people are close, their soul strings will tense up and start dragging them towards each other. When they touch for the first time, the soul string will disappear until they kiss. If your soulmate is in really really bad emotional or physical pain, your soul string shows up black; just as a little bow around your finger. This story is loosely made for the AU, but it isn't a big part of the story. The mentions of the soul strings pop up sometimes, but that's not all they talk about. Also a disclaimer: I got a little carried away sometimes and some of the stuff isn't that like kiribaku but there's moments there from the actual anime so you can skip if you want but I'd appreciate if you'd read it 😊
