Conner Matthews a 15-year-old high school sophomore. Conner's life only took a turn for the better when he met 16-year-old Ryan McCormack, quite by accident, literally. After school one day, Conner was taking a shortcut across the high school sports field where lacrosse practice was in session in order to get to the bus stop on time. Ryan, who was on the lacrosse team and during practice that particular afternoon took a wild shot and hit Conner in the side of the head knocking him flat on his back. Ryan's mother was a pediatrician so instead of taking Conner to the emergency room Ryan talked his coach into allowing him to take the attractive but dazed boy back home where his Mom could look after him. And there Conner met Ryan's equally redheaded 14 year old brother, Toby. He soon noticed that good looks run in the family, at least for the brothers, ha-ha. Conner was nursed back to health in this warm and loving family who seemed to have everything that Conner didn't have. He liked both Ryan and Toby a lot. The brothers and their friends gave Conner something that he'd been desiring for so long . . . acceptance, friendship, and affection, and eventually even a boyfriend. Hey, Conner didn't even figure out that he was gay until Ryan and Toby came into his life.

Nolan Lennox had things figured out. Named after a baseball legend, she enjoyed being the Tomboy, her closet filled with her brother's hand-me-downs, cut-off jeans and soccer shorts. But when her first trip to high school results in a broken heart from the first boy to ever make her heart flutter and cruel words from an older girl she once thought a family friend, Nolan starts to question the very person she thought she was and wonders if her humble upbringing can compete with the afforded luxuries of her privileged peers. Throughout the next four years, Nolan struggles to maintain herself throughout her path of discovery, learning just how cruel teenagers can be through the pressures of underage drinking, sexuality and class. And despite how life seems to continue to work against her, she still manages to listen to her heart, falling deeper and deeper for the guy the entire town adores, even if he only sees her as a friend. Can Nolan strike a compromise between her own integrity and the boy she loves? And can she make him notice her before it's too late? Reed Johnson came to Coolidge High School with a lot of fanfare. The son of a hometown football legend and the brother of a local football hero, Reed wore all the pressures of carrying a town without hope into the spotlight. Thankfully, he had the talent to back it up. But when he meets a girl who makes him think twice about exactly what being a hero means, he starts to wonder if following in his brother's footsteps might be all wrong. Nolan Lennox was everything that was opposite of expected. She didn't flirt, she didn't drink and she didn't sleep around. Nothing about her was easy, but something about her made Reed want to try harder. Though she didn't look the part, she seemed to be spending a lot of time in Reed's thoughts, and he wondered if she could be the one who made it all worthwhile. But could Reed handle letting her down? And would breaking her heart break him beyond repair?

"Noah, I won't do it unless you ask me to," he whispered, his voice seductively low. "What?" I asked almost breathless. "Kiss you," he murmured. "And God, there are no words for how badly I want to." **** Noah was your all American boy. Captain of his soccer team, extremely good-looking, having other boys want to be him and girls want to be with him, but there's one problem. He doesn't chase after the captain of the cheerleading squad or the girls who spread their legs open for whoever asks. In fact, he doesn't go for any girl. Instead, he hates himself when his eyes linger on a guy that his brain and heart say is cute. He's gay, and he's having a hard time accepting himself for it. It doesn't help when he wakes up almost naked in another guy's house, let alone in another guy's bed. And to make matters worse, he can't help but fall for the outspoken and extremely attractive Madison who he'd drunkenly went home with and tried to screw. Finally, to add the cherry on top of the crap-tastic cake, Noah is forced to work with Madison for at least six months, or he'll lose his beloved soccer. Nothing could go wrong, right? Throw in a bit of awkwardness mixed with a few close calls and you've got a recipe for disaster....and a tiny tear in Noah's heavily protected heart. © 2018 *endless thanks and love to @half_a_hetero for helping me with the Italian in this book.
