Children are being brutally murdered. There's no evidence to link the murders except the way in which they are found. The police are sure they are dealing with a psychotic serial killer, but one person knows it's much more than that.

a cold summer
It has been a stressful year for Rain who has struggled to keep up with the workload during her first year of marine biology at University. Now that summer has finally arrived, she can look forward to a long anticipated break and spend time with her friends enjoying one of their favourite pastimes - swimming in the Loch! Summer solstice arrives and they all decide to go swimming in the Loch to celebrate decent weather for once! Rain jumps in first, revelling in the warm but surprisingly cool water. Rain knows that supernatural forces don't exist. But no living person could have done this.
