Seventeen year old Melissa has been looking after herself since her mother died 9 years ago. When her unreliable father gets put behind bars, Melissa is forced to move in with her mothers best friend Anne Preston along with her son, and childhood best friend Anthony. A lot has changed since the last time Anthony saw Melissa, she is no longer the timid, sweet little girl that Anthony remembers. She is a perfect example of the walking wounded, broken beyond repair from abuse and loss in her life.
Melissa is given a chance to start over and try to leave her past behind, but you can only run for so long before the past catches up with you
A/N there is swearing in this book, you have been warned. I just recently started updating this book again so please give it a shot. The first couple chapters are short but they get longer as you go along. One of the items on my bucket list is to write and complete a wattpad book so that's why I'm doing this. Hope you like it!
