Set in Celtic Scotland, an oppressive King rules the land, power-mad and enslaving innocent villagers having usurped the throne through bloodshed and tyranny. The son of one of the clans of Celts is the rightful King, but in order to rid Scotland of the tyrant, their only hope is a pack of wolves who live in the forest, especially a young cub by the name of Aðalgerður.
