"Let me go!" I screamed as soon as my Kidnapper took the duck tape off. He squatted down to my level and whispered in my ear, "Never."
I struggled to get out of the duck tape that was wrapped around my wrists. My bangs fell out of the clip that they were in and covered my left side of my face. He smirked and said, "you are worthless and you won't even have a mate anyway, if you did he would reject you."
"A mate? What the fuck are you talking about." I clenched my jaw and glared at him.
"You are a crazy person who needs to go to the loony bin, as you can see I have no friends," I said venomously. I breathed heavier and I was starting to get pissed off.
He grabbed my chin tightly and very sternly said, "NEVER EVER SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT AGAIN! DO YOU UNDERSTAND!"
When I didn't answer, his hand tightened on my chin causing me to cry out in pain. I sobbed and replied, "Yes."
Hi, I'm Violet as you can see my life is pretty fucked up. I obviously have no friends and I get kidnapped. What kind of loser gets their self kidnapped? This one right here.
Well anyway, I should get on with the story.
Enjoy!
A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers.
*****
It wasn't Maddie's choice to be born a half-breed, half Shifter, half Wolfstalker -- a hunter of Shifters -- and it wasn't her choice to keep her identity a secret. But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life.
