A prince must prove himself before becoming king and in order for him to do so, he has to go kill a dragon. Alfonz, the oldest of 6, goes to find the dragon that will secure the throne, but as he goes to land the finishing blow, the dragon changes, leaving a badly injured man where he lay instead.

Mark is a solider for the King's army, and has been all his life. He is aware that the other kingdom is ready for war, and he is going to be the one to fight them.
