Ranguun. A proud kingdom. On her throne, King Erik Tomekin, the first of his name. Beside him, Queen Lillianne Tomekin, from the noble Gushall family. Their only son, Prince Aldred Tomekin, heir to the throne. Together as three, they rule Ranguun. Under their shadow lies the kingdom of Niveon - Ranguun's long enemy. Ruled by the tainted King Byron Baingard, the second of his name, a recent widower with only a daughter to his name, he has no heir. Princess Suzanne Baingard, with her mother's looks and her mother's personality, she is a reminder to her father of the wife that he lost in battle, she is locked away in The Rounded Tower, where she spends her days among other women, making dresses and garments for the men and women of Niveon. For three years, Niveon and Ranguun have remained apart, in a forced, fragile peace. A peace that was fragmented from the beginning. While Niveon remains in silence, Ranguun is at war with the kingdom of Ruma. A war that has lasted several months and is soon to end...
