A heart can't always glow brightly like it did one day. Sometimes it changes...and sometimes...it never goes back.
When a kind man's lover dies, and his heart is torn, he decides to kick his two children out for "their own good." However, having been kicked out without knowing the man's recently found hatred for life, they still have that same, lovely outlook on it. With the village behind them as they depart, and promising to care for the man all they can, they decide to try and find something, or someone, to help resurrect their long gone mother. In hopes it'll get their father out of their old home and cheer him back up again.

Monsters and mythical creatures are real. They are very real indeed, as well as magic. We just can't see it... There is an island on our world, one where they roam and have their own sophisticated society, mostly keeping to themselves. Mostly. One of these creatures is named Bianca. She has to travel to where the humans live, that's where she gets her food. One day, she goes in for the kill like normal, but can't continue. On the way home, she kept asking herself over and over again, "Why couldn't I kill him?" After realizing she has fallen for him, she returns to her hunting spot.
