"Do you really have to go? Can't you stay for a few more days?" I whined.
"I have to go hun, semester break ends tomorrow." Brent smiled as his hand caressed my face.
"But... I'll miss you." I pouted.
"Hey, I'll miss you too Court. We'll see each other real soon I promise." he smiled.
"Haizz okay then, promise me you'll stay safe, do all your assignments and just have fun alright." I sighed as I held his hands.
"Geez Court, you don't need to keep mommy-ing me, I know what I'm doing." laughed Brent as he gave me a peck on the forehead.
"Hey, I'm not "mommy-ing" you, I'm just giving you... uh... advice, yea advice." I mumbled.
"Urggghhh I'm gonna miss you so much you little bugger." laughed Brent as he ruffled my hair.
"ALL PASSENGERS BOARDING FLIGHT AU17 PLEASE BE NOTIFIED THAT THE GATE WILL BE CLOSED IN ANOTHER 15 MINUTES."
"Well I guess that's my cue to go." said Brent.
"Yeah..." I stuttered.
"Aww come on, cheer up Court. Come here." he said as he gave me one last hug.
"I'll see you soon alright? Have a safe flight." I said as I gave him a peck on the lips.
"I love you my lil bugger." he said as he gave my forehead one last kiss.
"FLIGHT AU17 THIS IS YOUR LAST CALL. REMAINING PASSENGERS PLEASE BOARD THE PLANE IMMEDIATELY."
"Okay I gotta go now, bye Court." he said as he held onto my hand.
"Bye babe. I love you."
"I'll see you in 89 days sweetheart." he smiled before turning towards the entrance of the plane.
As I was walking down the staircase to the carpark after getting a burger to feed my hungry tummy, the deafening sound of thunder was heard. And at that moment the whole airport blacked out.
"FLIGHT AU17 HAD JUST BEEN STRIKED WITH LIGHTNING WHILE FLYING THROUGH A THUNDERSTORM." blared the speakers.
My body was paralyzed with fear. Tears gushed out from my eyes. My heart dropped. I froze. I couldn't move. Brent was on that plane, will I ever get to see my other half ever again?
