Little Gordon Ellerbee was a happy young boy. He loved playing with his friends, and chasing after his pet dog. But there was something about him that no white folks could get past. He was a negro, and that's all they needed to know. The tragedy of Gordon's Tree is just that, a tragedy. Watch Gordon struggle against racism in the 60's, and eventually become and ambassador for african american rights.

"Unfortunately, I wish it was just a made-up story, something that belonged in the realm of fiction. But it isn't. I'm guessing it started happily at first. Just a naive 10-year-old enjoying what life threw at her. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But I didn't. I longed for more. With my lemons, I wanted lemonade, lemon cake, lemon pie, honey and lemon juice, lemon tea, and even lemon water!" I guess now I can't have any of that anymore, right? I messed up big time, and I'll bear the consequences for it all. I just have one wish though... It's as though I'd have been better off never entering this world in the first place.
