D. The legendary, forever-alone vampire hunter of the Frontier. He doesn't need a partner and doesn't want one. But what happens if the partner chooses him? An unusual human, who's just as fearless as D, but is in high spirits enough for both of them, mocks the nobility and so honest, it creeps out a certain parasite. He decided to "tag along" but can he really keep up with D? Or is he going to be left behind like everyone else?

'Philibert.'
Childlike joy filled the countenance of the owner of the name.
'Yep, it's me.' Starting walking backwards he faced D. 'Just Phil is fine.' Offered a welcoming hand which D accepted. 'I'm glad to see you again.' This could have come from anyone who had seen the beautiful dhampir and could never forget him nor desire anybody else, yet from Philibert it sounded different. His voice carried only honest joy."
