AN APPRENTICE WILL READ THE STARS
Sagepaw is destined to be TwistedClan leader- and she definitely knows it.
She's bossy and braggy, and usually orders all the other apprentices around. But no cat looks up to her at all, which makes her chances of being leader shrink.
But one day, a mysterious scent blew over the PrarieClan moor. And by night, two cats had been killed. But no scent had been left, only the lingering scent of blood and death. The next night, even more cats had been killed. And by 10 days, almost the whole Clan had been killed off except the medicine cat, and the rest of the apprentices.
By 11 days, The three Clans that were left that hadn't been wiped out by this mysterious force had retreated in fear, leaving TwistedClan in the dust.
Sagepaw had lost all hope on leading. There was only 7 cats left in TwistedClan. The Clan had no future.
Sagepaw goes to the medicine cat for guidance, but the medicine cat only speaks of the impossible.

As they get older, the time grows nearer for them to choose successors who will receive their immortality which has been passed on to them by their own mentors. But this group is hiding something, and it is only a matter of time before it is revealed to the chosen successors. Petalwish is unsure if she really should be loyal to CliffClan. She loves her clanmates dearly, but the clan deputy seems to watch their every move, just waiting for any cat to slip up. But it's the clan she was raised in. So, she should be loyal to them, right? Keenkit always figured he and his littermates were normal kits who would all become apprentices and be able to train together. But when a strange cat takes his sister out of StreamClan on the day of their apprentice ceremony, he quickly realizes such hope has become impossible. Sunpaw just wants to prove to his clan, BreezeClan that he can become a great warrior. But it isn't as easy as it sounds. Even though his rival apprentice Slowpaw is much younger than him, he is always beaten in battle training and he can never catch nearly as much prey. His mentor doesn't make it any better either. Everyone is relying on StarClan to send the prophecy to their medicine cat, just hoping that one day, the fiasco will end. Yet that's not the way fear works its way into hearts. Warriors, once brave and strong, now cowering behind one another. Apprentices with their eagerness to learn, now afraid of the outside world and going missing. Queens, always caring for their kits, now fearful of losing them to the mystery. Elders, who are as wise as the deepest river, now unable to provide an answers. With leaf-bare creeping up, the Clans are preparing for the harsh weather. Preparing for another season should be like gathering moss for the elders, but not this time. This time, the Clans are struggling just to assemble a hunting patrol and maintain borders. Forcing time out of daily tasks is asking the impossible. Leaf-bare is going to take the remaining lives of the cats that are lucky enough to even make it through leaf-fall.
