The worlds are in trouble once more when Sora, Riku, and Kairi mysteriously disappear without a trace. In reaction to their disappearance, an unknown power is awakened, and reaches out to a world that was thought to be permanetely disconnected. Hikari Kurai was just a normal 17-year-old teenager; She had a home, a loving family, and always cared for others. But that all changed when the Heartless invaded her home, taking her family hostage and swallowing their world. Ansem the Wise appears before her and explains that she has a unique gift, where her heart is completely split between Light and Darkness. With this new-found power and her sudden ability to control a weapon known only as The Angel's Keyblade, Hikari must go on a risky adventure through several worlds as she tries to find her family and the Destiny Islands Keyblade wielders, before Master Xehanort can summon The X-Blade.
Takes place after Dream Drop Distance.
