The Plight of a Victimized Empress Once, there was an empress wronged beyond redemption. Her tormentors, bound to her by blood and betrayal, were cast into eternal odium and their lineage cursed from age to age, their sins echoing through the corridors of time. A thousand years passed, the curse still lived, and from her blood, destiny was reborn. Quaye, a man of promise and quiet fire, rose to become the emperor's most trusted hand. Yet love: reckless, forbidden, and divine compelled him to flee with the woman destined for the throne. For seventeen relentless years, the emperor hunted them until vengeance found its mark. From the ashes of their doom rose Messilina Pearl a young girl, fierce and unyielding, a witness to her family's ruin. Vengeance burns in her heart; disguise becomes her armour. She bends her gender, her fate, and her very soul to right a century of wrongs. Imagine a wounded lion cornered by its hunters. Now imagine the lion learns to hunt back. Could she become the empire's greatest catastrophe? Or the end of rulers themselves?
