17 year old Avri and 8 year old sister, Cari, lost everything the night their parents didn't come home from a business trip. Avri is dealing with the weight of it all and is blaming herself. She was the one who sent that text message after all, right? So that means it is her fault. Right? She starts a new tactic in order to take the pain from that and turn it into a real, physical pain. She punishes herself, instead. Well, that is, until a boy with a boquet of flowers and chocolate colored eyes swoops in and saves them both. Or so he thought. Will Avri finally realize the way she is taking away her pain is wrong and stop it now, or will she keep creating new scars?
