The Oliver Everett Trilogy: Romulus

A boy witnesses his sister's abduction and he's the only one trying to get her back.

Oliver Everett is an average boy who has never thought of himself as anything but. He lives in a small town and attends a school where he gets decent grades and has a solid group of friends. His sister is the gifted one; she is at an art school another state away and is only home during holidays. On the last day of his classes, Oliver finds his sister at home arguing with their uncle. She storms out of the house and Oliver follows her to a neighbor's field where they're both sucked into a mysterious light. When he comes to, he sees his sister being carried away by a man. He's helpless and cannot do anything to stop the man. Lost and all alone, Oliver realizes that he is no longer in his neighbor's field.

How did he get there?

The word magic is the only explanation. He has never considered that such an outlandish thing would exist, but even if it did, why would it happen to him? And yet, here he is, trying to navigate through a world where dragons are kept like horses, wolves can talk, and magic pervades every aspect of life.

Will Oliver be able to navigate through this strange world and find his sister?
