The snow shines in its glitz and glimmer
But don't shake or shiver
They come at night,
Just to give you a fright
Remember, darling, to never wither

"The wind blew in and froze her heart."

Talia has spent her entire life with just her younger brother. Hidden in the snowy mountains of Washington State, she has learned to balance surviving and taking care of Travis. But when an unexpected blizzard forces Talia off of the mountain, she has to learn to survive in a world she barely even knew existed.

But Travis is gone and Talia doesn't know how much time he has. With only basic survival skills and not many possessions, it won't be long.

With the help of experienced mountaineer, Max, Talia has to find Travis before it's too late.

But things hide in those mountains, dark things that Talia and Max can barely dream of. The only way to make it through it is together. But with Talia's past of betrayal and learning to fend for herself, can she learn to trust in someone else?

Because, if she can't, no one's making it off that mountain. At least not alive.
